BENEFIT PERFORMANCES
Donating all or part of ticket proceeds from a night of your run, preview, added performance, or matinee provides an opportunity to develop extra publicity for your production and company, as well as providing a chance to make a significant contribution to SOC with minimal expense to your producing organization.

AUDIENCE SOLICITATIONS
Many theaters choose one night from their run to directly solicit donations from the audience. A curtain speech from your lead/s or Director - and/or including a stuffer in your program - alerts your audience to the opportunity to donate, and raises awareness of SOC.
Audience Solicitations are most effective when cast members collect donations in the theatre lobby after the performance, and SOC ribbons and donation cans are always available through the Season of Concern office. |
ACTOR'S NIGHTS
Although SOC is geared to benefit the Chicagoland theater community, many of the very people we're here to support are unaware of our existance.
Soliciting a "pay-what-you-can" for Actor's Nights on behalf of SOC informs our community about SOC's services, and provides local actors a chance to directly support their friends and keep our organization active in advance of a time when they themselves might need to turn to us for support. |
BENEFIT EVENTS
Soliciting a small or voluntary donation from attendees to an opening night party or annual gala is an excellent way to show your Company's care and support of its own.
As most such events are heavily sponsored, collecting for SOC at a party or gala provides a chance for your company to make a difference without incurring financial risks. |
MEMORIAL GIFTS
Gifts made to Season of Concern in memory of the passing of a friend, co-worker or loved one are a thoughful and inspiring way to carry on a person's legacy of love and caring. |
MERCHANDISE SALES
Announcing and donating a portion of the proceeds of your lobby merchandise can inspire purchases and is an excellent way to raise both funds and awareness of SOC's programs. |
ITEM DONATIONS
Throught the year, SOC holds charity auctions of items donated by supporters like you. Show tickets, meal or drink coupons, gift certificates, and even autographed props and costume pieces are excellent fundraisers (and tax write-offs as well!). |
VOLUNTEER FOR SOC
Season of Concern is always grateful for new members of our Volunteer Committee - SOC's team that helps out with special events throughout the year. |
